Wiki/Biography
Simon Konecki was born in April 1974 (age 47 years; as of 2021), and he hails from Brighton, England. After spending his early childhood in New York, Simon, along with his family, moved to London when he was ten. Since childhood, he has been devoted to philanthropy and made his first donation when he was just thirteen. In an interview, while talking about his first donation, he said,
I was about 13 and it was around Christmas. I had £10 to spend and I was walking through Brighton. I saw a hobo. He was in a bad way and I gave him that tenner. And then I got home and my dad said: “You’re crazy. He’s just going to spend it on drugs.” But I think he needed it more than I did that day.”
Thereafter, he attended the renowned Eton College in Windsor, where he was a batchmate of popular English adventurer Bear Grylls and the well-known English food critic Tom Parker Bowles. Simon was a notorious boy during his college days. He belonged to an ill-famed boarding house with a shabby reputation under the surveillance of popular history teacher David Evans. In a 2012 interview, a student of Eton College revealed,
Our housemaster used to refer to him (Simon Konecki) as the naughtiest boy he ever had in his house – ‘Don’t misbehave or you will end up like him,’ he (David Evans) would say.”

Wife/Husband & Children
In 2004, Simon Konecki got married to the independent designer and fashion stylist Clary Fisher. In 2007, the couple welcomed a daughter. After being in a marriage for four years, Simon and Clary parted ways in 2008.
Konecki started dating the English singer-songwriter Adele in 2011 after they were allegedly introduced by their mutual friend and celebrated English singer Ed Sheeran. The couple made acquaintance when Adele was off work recovering from her throat surgery, and eventually, they started dating.
Together, the couple has a son, Angelo James Konecki (born on 19 October 2012).
After getting secretly married in 2017, they parted ways in 2019. In an interview, Adele’s spokesman confirmed the news of their separation saying,
Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
Following their split, they agreed to share the custody of Angelo. As the couple had not signed a prenup when they got married, they mutually decided to waive off the right to seek or obtain any spousal support from the other party when their divorce was finalized in 2021.
Career
At the age of seventeen, Simon commenced his career as a trainee foreign exchange broker. Thereafter, he became the director of the private equity investment group EBS, London, a division of trading giant Icap. Later, he started working at the investment banking company Lehman Brothers, where his job role required him to manage the teams of senior brokers. In 2005, the idea of turning into a humanitarian crossed Simon’s mind when his employer circulated an email, which stated that the company would double the amount of money their employees agreed to donate. Soon after the epiphany, he began researching about numerous ongoing global crises. Eventually, the world’s water crisis caught his attention, and he made it his life goal to aid mankind suffering from it. In an interview, he said,
I looked into a lot of causes and the world’s water crisis should be pretty easy to solve: $30bn to give 1bn people water is nothing. So I decided that that would be it.”
Although Simon had a lucrative job, he grew weary of it. Desiring to make an impact on the world, he left his job to pursue a sustainable business. In an interview, he said,
I was originally an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and I was doing well and earning a lot of money, but I got sick of that greedy and corrupted world.”
In 2005, he resigned from Lehman Brothers and co-founded Life Water, an eco-friendly brand of bottled water in the UK, along with his friend Lucas White. The sustainable business led him to establish Drop4Drop, a non-profit organization with an objective to install accountable and efficient water projects in rural areas across the globe, which lack a reliable source of clean water.
