Nell Tiger Free was born on Wednesday, October 13, 1999 (age 21 years; as of 2020), in Kingston upon Thames, London.
She attended Teddington School in England. She secured herself an audition at the age of eleven when she was spotted by a talent scout at a Saturday drama class. The amazing opportunity led to her being cast in the popular American series ‘Game of Thrones’ (2011).

Film
In 2012, she made her film debut with the British coming-of-age drama film ‘Broken’ in which she played the brief role of Anna. The film follows three English homes in a British housing estate, where a girl’s life changes after she witnesses a violent attack committed by her neighbor.
She starred in the 2021 British science fiction thriller film ‘Settlers’ as Remmy. Premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, the film centers around mankind’s earliest settlers on the Martian frontier who try to survive in an uninhabited homestead on Mars. In the film, a couple from earth protects their daughter Remmy from hostile outsiders who hold her hostage.
Later, in the same year, she starred in the coming-of-age fairy tale film ‘Wonderwell’ in which she played the role of a princess named Savannah. Set between modern-day Italy and an imaginary realm, ‘Wonderwell’ follows a naive and inquisitive 12 year-old-girl named Violet and her thrilling adventures which transform her world forever.

At the age of fourteen, she made her debut with the BBC’s Christmas-themed television film ‘Mr. Stink’ (2012) in which she played the protagonist Chloe Crumb, an unhappy school girl who invites a homeless man to live in her garden shed following her family’s uncaring attitude towards her.
In 2014, she made a brief appearance in the British television detective drama ‘Endeavour’ in which she played the role of Bunty Glossop in an episode titled “Nocturne.” She came into the limelight with the 2011 American fantasy drama ‘Game of Thrones’ in which she played the recurring role of Myrcella Baratheon from 2015 to 2016. In the series, Myrcella is the only daughter of Cersei Lannister who dies a tragic death on her way back to Kings Landing after being poisoned by Ellaria and the Sand Snakes.

In 2019, she made her digital debut when she played the lead role of Janey Carter in the American crime drama ‘Too Old to Die Young.’ The series follows a police officer named Martin Jones,’ whose life is blown apart in one tragic night forcing him into the deadly underworld of Los Angeles. Martin’s teenage girlfriend Janey Carter is an innocent bystander whose genuine love for him ends up costing her life in the crime series.
Later, in the same year, she played the main role of Leanne Grayson in the American psychological horror series ‘Servant.’ The series follows a wealthy Philadelphia couple, Dorothy and Sean, who seek psychological comfort in a lifelike reborn doll after the death of their thirteen-week-old son, Jericho. In the series, Leanne a young mysterious Midwestern nanny hired by the couple to look after the reborn doll.
Facts/Trivia
- During her school days, she was kicked out of a school musical and humiliated by her teacher for wearing a short skirt. In an interview, while describing the event, she said,
I used to wear my skirt too short, and you’d get a behavior point every time you were seen with your skirt short. All the girls did it but I was quite a big character in school so I used to get made an example of. I cried when I got kicked out. The teacher who was running the musical said it helps to be an actress, doesn’t it, to turn the waterworks on?”

- While shooting for an episode of the horror series ‘Servant’ (2019), Free faced difficulty in eating cake with her bare hands due to an obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). In an interview, she revealed,
