Camille Schrier was born on Friday, June 30, 1995 (age 24 years; as in 2019) in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, United States. Her zodiac sign is Cancer. When she was a child, she was diagnosed with a rare connective tissue disorder that affects the skin, muscle, and ligament function called the “Ehlers–Danlos Syndromes” (EDS).
She did her schooling from the “Hun School of Princeton” in Princeton, United States. She briefly attended “Michigan Engineering” to pursue Chemical Engineering, but she soon transferred to Virginia Tech. She completed an “Undergraduate in Biochemistry” and “Undergraduate in Systems Biology” (with minors in chemistry) from the “Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University” (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Virginia. She is also pursuing a “Doctor of Pharmacy” degree from the “Virginia Commonwealth University” (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia.

Beauty Pageant Career
In 2012, Camille represented Pennsylvania in the “National American Miss Pennsylvania Teen” pageant and won. In 2013, she got a chance to represent Pennsylvania again in the “National American Miss Teen” pageant, but she ended up being the first runner-up. In 2013, she competed in the “USA Ambassador Teen” pageant and won.
In June 2019, she participated in the “Miss Dominion” pageant. On August 11, 2019, she won the “Miss Dominion” pageant and got the opportunity to represent Virginia in “Miss America 2020.” During the talent round of Miss Dominion, she performed a science experiment on stage.

In December 2020, she participated in the “Miss America” pageant. During the talent round of Miss America 2020, she did a science experiment by demonstrating on hydrogen peroxide. Her on-stage science experiment went viral on social media; as it was a unique thing and had never been done on the Miss America platform and people were intrigued after seeing such a demonstration. She began her experiment by saying-
Science is all around us! I’ve loved science since I was a little girl. It’s my mission to show kids that science is fun, relevant and easy to understand”
After the talent round, judge Lauren Ash applauded her for her enthusiasm, and said-
Your showmanship of science was fun to watch and is an interesting idea”
Camille participated with a platform of “Mind Your Meds: Drug Safety and Abuse Prevention from Pediatrics to Geriatrics” During the interview round of Miss America, the judges asked her about the social issues she had planned to work for if she would win the title. She impressed the judges by speaking about drug safety, mental health issues, and the prevention of drug abuse. She was also asked- “How do you handle those who might make fun of Miss America?” to which she replied-
I think that what I’m doing by being a woman of science and redefining what it means to be Miss America in 2020 is how I deal with those people. I’ve had people that don’t think that what I do is necessarily a talent. But you know what? Miss America is someone that needs to educate, be able to communicate with everyone, and that’s what I do as a woman of science. And we need to show that Miss America can be a scientist and that a scientist can be Miss America”
On December 19, 2019, she was crowned as “Miss America 2020” at the Earth Expo & Convention Center in Montville, Connecticut. She also became the first Miss America to win the title after performing a science experiment on stage. She was crowned by Miss America 2019, Nia Franklin. As per the tradition of Miss America pageant, the former Miss America crowns the new winner.
According to the Miss America Organization, Camille, along with the title, will also be taking home a $50,000 scholarship, a six-figure salary, and a chance to work with passionate professionals about creating more opportunities for women. During an interview after winning the Miss America title, she said-
I’m not the beauty queen, I’m the brand ambassador for this organization and I’m more than just someone with a crown on my head”

- Camille likes fishing, bowling, cooking, and baking.
- During her time at Virginia Tech, she used to run a blog titled “FitLikaAQueen.com.” She was also in the “Kappa Delta” sorority.
- Camille was honored as a “cum laude graduate” (Latin honor to indicate the highest level of distinction) when she graduated from Virginia Tech.
- She was in the “Top 3” of Miss America along with Miss Georgia- Victoria Hill (First Runner-up; Vocal Performance Student) and Miss Missouri- Simone Esters (Second Runner-up; Journalism Student).
