Cameron Ely

Cameron Ely was the son of the famous actor, Ron Ely who portrayed ‘Tarzan’ in the 1966 NBC series, Tarzan. Cameron was shot dead by the cops after he stabbed his mother, Valerie Lundeen (62 years old) to death.

Cameron Ely was born in 1989 (age: 30 years, as in 2019) in Santa Barbara, California, USA. He received his primary education from the Philips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire. Later, he attended Harvard University and played the American football for it as a quarterback.

Family

Cameron was born to Ron Ely and Valerie Lundeen. His father, Ron Ely is a famous actor and novelist while his mother, Valerie was a former Miss Florida. Earlier in 1959, his father got married to Cathy Ely and lived together until 1961. Later, in 1984, he got married to Valerie Lundeen with whom he has three children; two daughters- Kirsten and Kaitland, and a son- late Cameron Ely.

Controversy

On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, Ron Ely’s wife, Valerie Lundeen was stabbed to death in their Santa Barbara home. Reportedly, Cameron called the police and blamed his 81-years old, disabled father, Ron for the attack. Until then, the cops were oblivious of the suspect. When Cameron posed a threat to the police officers, four deputies opened fired and Cameron was shot dead at the scene. [1]DailyMail

On Wednesday, October 16, in an investigation, it was confirmed that Cameron was behind the incident, and he did so because of an internal family disturbance. Ron Ely has been reported as safe by the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s department.

  • Cameron studied at the Phillips Exeter Academy, which was ranked No.1 boarding school in America by the Business Insider.
  • He used to play as a quarterback for Harvard University. However, he was willing to switch for the University of Texas. But, the transfer never took place.
